Paintings of centuries past often depict idyllic scenes of simpler times, unmarred by pollution, technology and other aspects of modern society. Leave it to Banksy to intentionally cheapen these scenes, infiltrating their beauty and sense of worth with commentary on the state of modern art, and the world in general.
